Going out on a Tuesday is normal, three hours of sleep is more than enough, and you skip your Friday classes more than you attend them are habits of a typical twenty-something adult. Eventually growing up creeps up on you and you begin to realize that maintaining your old, crazy lifestyle is far too much to handle. Your priorities are now different, you have started caring about different things, and your friends are all the same way. You may be living in a 20-year-old body, but your brain operates like a 78-year-old woman.

YOUR GRANDMA MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW

You would rather sleep than do anything else.

You put your hair in a bun more days than you style it.

You start to think that beige is a beautiful color.

10:00 p.m. is late. 11:00 p.m. is risky. 12:00 is absurd. 1:00 a.m. is a dream and didn’t happen.

You go out, maybe, one night a week and then you’re in bed by midnight on that night you do go out.

You get more excited over the nap you’re going to take later than that cute boy texting you back

You find yourself tuning into Family Feud.

You prefer cardigans over crop tops.

If it’s after 6:00 p.m. and you don’t have plans, you are not going out.

You don’t wear jeans anymore.

You find yourself shouting “What?!” after someone says something.

Your closet contains mostly oversized sweaters

You probably play BINGO more than you would like to admit.

You say things like “Gaad, dang it.”

You traded in your tequila shot for a glass of wine.

You begin discussions with “Can you believe kids these days?”
