What to bring to Thanksgiving | what to make for Thanksgiving | cant cook what should I bring | thanksgiving hacks

What is your one responsibility when it comes to showing up to Thanksgiving? Show up with an awesome dish to pass, eat your weight in stuffing, and try to make it out the door before falling asleep. Right?

I think one of the hardest things to do is figure out what to bring to a Thanksgiving gathering. Do you have time to prepare a dish? If so, what will you make? Will you have enough? What if you don’t cook? What if you’re traveling? Is a bottle of wine tacky?

On top of that, you have to factor in cost! If you DO find a recipe worth your while do you have all of the ingredients? Or do you have to go out and purchase eight seasonings that you only need a tablespoon of and won’t use again until next Thanksgiving?

I for one am stumped with what to bring to Thanksgiving year after year until I finally figured something out that would make my life easier and the masses happy.

What is the one thing everybody needs on Thanksgiving after the feast has been devoured?

Tupperware!

Bring Tupperware for everyone to take home leftovers!

Traditionally, the host will send guests home with leftovers if they would like. This results in them having to give up ALL of their Tupperware in order for folks to transport their treats back home. However, I for one HATE giving up my Tupperware. Who knows when or if I’ll get it back. Work starts back up on Monday, I’m going to need those RIGHT back.

But if someone brought Tupperware to the party knowing that was their “dish to pass” and they wouldn’t expect to get any of those containers back, its a win-win for everyone around.

You can get 20 meal prep containers for $16.99 on Amazon. Order today and they’ll be here in time. Or go to your local superstore and get a 10 pack of those Ziploc containers.  To-Go boxes are another way you can slide by and they’re cheaper too. Maybe make them festive by adding some stickers or ribbon if you’re looking for that “homemade” touch.

No offense to your pumpkin pie or yams but there is a lot more you could be offering that will benefit the greater good of the group with these reusable babies.

Some people may think that bringing Tupperware is tacky but if you’re the disappointment of the family and you can’t even bring a dish to the table then what more is there to lose…

Another great idea is serving utensils! In what world do you need 12 serving spoons on a regular basis, except for Thanksgiving! Shoutout to Natalee for that sound advice. Pack up a 20-pack of to-go containers and some serving spoons and you will be good to go.

What is one thing you brought to the table that everyone raved over? Recipes allowed! Let’s chat in the comments below.
