“How to get clear skin as a bride.” “How to destress while planning a wedding.” “How to make sure I’m not sick on my wedding day.” These are all fairly common google searches for new brides. Most brides want to make sure they have long luscious hair, glowing skin, awesome physique, etc. When I first started planning my wedding was when I started taking my vitamins and supplements a bit more seriously.
Planning a wedding can put a lot of stress on a bride’s body which can appear physically in a lot of different ways. While there is no miracle pill that does it all, there are several nutrients that can improve common issues physically and emotionally. Here are 7 vitamins and supplements I’m taking as a bride-to-be to assist me with feeling and looking my best on my wedding day.
A Multi-vitamin
Start off with the basics and take a multivitamin. I really enjoy the OLLY women’s Multivitamin gummies. “These chewable daily vitamins are a powerful blend for overall wellness and to help fill the gaps when your eating habits are a little less than perfect,” according to the OLLY website. These help you maintain a really balanced vitamin intake while also feeding your body the proper mix of nutrients.
Marine Collagen
If you want long hair, nails, and glowing skin, you NEED a collagen supplement in your life. Collagen diminishes with age. Youtheory Marine Collagen helps replenish collagen to revitalize skin, hair, nails, tendons & ligaments. This is not a vegan product. I highly recommend a marine collagen supplement over a bovine supplement making it easier on the body with digestibility & absorption.
If you’re looking for a vegan alternative, check out this Collagen Key. This supplement is a unique all-in-one vegan formula that helps support the body’s natural production of collagen, providing all of the essential ingredients for a strong structural support system. Tastes like peach and berries too!

Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar gummies are packed with ingredients to support inner and outer beauty. ACV supports skin, hair, and nail health, a healthy cardiovascular system, and healthy neural development, and helps to support and maintain a healthy metabolism. Im using this as a tool in conjunction with my wedding meal plan.
Ashwagandha
This is a big one to help with stress management. If you don’t do well with planning or being under pressure Ashwagandha will be your BFF. Ashwagandha is a nontoxic herb and has been known to help with lowering blood sugar and sharpening focus. When times get tough or a bridezilla moment creeps up, pop in an Ashwagandha gummy or add the powder to a smoothie full of fruits and veggies. Yum!

Gastrointestinal Tract Support
If you suffer from bloating, look no further. A leaky gut is more common than you may think. A leaky gut is a condition involving increased intestinal permeability. This digestive condition allows bacteria and toxins to “leak” through the intestinal wall. This can cause pervasive inflammation and conceivably trigger a reaction from the body’s immune system. A solid gut support supplement, like Dr. Danielle’s GutAssist, supports your gut health by promoting microflora and supporting the mucosal lining of the gastrointestinal tract without being laxative. Digestive issues tend to disappear along with food sensitivities when your leaky gut is all healed up. You’ll be your optimal self come wedding day with some gut support on your side.
Zinc
Give your immune system the support it needs so you can feel healthier and more resilient all day, every day. Zinc is a major player in the creation of DNA, growth of cells, building proteins, healing of damaged tissue and supporting a healthy immune system. I take the Modern Nature Immune Support because it provides efficacious amounts of zinc, selenium, and vitamins C and D, + a beautiful mushroom blend that is scientifically shown to support your body’s natural immune response.
Greens Mix
Typically, most green mixes will help support energy levels, detoxification, overall body hydration, and your immune system. This is a very good tool to fill in the cracks if you didn’t get your veggies and fruit in for the day. Be mindful that this is a supplement, not a replacement. You still need to eat your veggies. I’ll be honest, most green powders taste like dirt. BLEH! I’ve found a greens mix with 37 different fruits and veggies that are very tasty when you mix it with water but my favorite way to drink is with Perfect Lemon juice. Yum!
The biggest tool is going to be finding something you’re going to want to take. For me, a handful of pills doesn’t excite me (n fact it frightens me). I stick with gummies and tasty powders because I am more likely to consume these vitamins and supplements leading up to my wedding. Consistency will be your best friend here. These aren’t quick fixes, but your habits will pay off over time.
