Galentines Day Gifting With Scentsy's Shimmer Soak

Only one bottle of wine was downed in the making of this post.

Galentines Day is only the BEST day of the year. Its a day to celebrate your girl gang because, honestly, where would we be without them. In this post, I’m going to show you an inexpensive yet sentimental way to celebrate your friendship and SHOWER them with gifts. (That’s a pun you just don’t know it until a bit later)

So when I first heard of this Scentsy business I was a little judgy, as most people are when it comes to independent consultants. I mean I think we can all agree the It Works program really did a number on the home party businesses. To me, I thought Scentsy was just a bunch of elderly ladies selling overpriced candles as an excuse to get together.

Scentsy is apparently more than just warmers and scents (although I do think their warmers are a bit pricey, come on, $30 to melt some wax? No thanks.). They have laundry products, house cleaners, bath bombs, and kid-friendly scented stuffed animals so the whole family can enjoy. That is all fine and dandy but we’re not here to talk about the family, we are here to talk about the gal-pals, the ride or dies, or as I like to call them my Jo’s before bros, get it, because my name is Jordan, Jo… Okay, I made that last one up but it has a good ring to it.

Galentines day is coming up and as Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec puts it “Oh it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.

Disclaimer: If you’re a gal pal and you’re reading this

1. You really are a gal pal! Thanks for the support!
2. It’s kind of a spoiler so LOOK AWAY!

For Galentines day gifts this year I’m making Bath Balls with Scentsy’s Shimmer Soak. They are extremely easy to put together and cost maybe $15 to make 4 gifts! The holidays just past and we’re all focusing on dry January. My dry January just happens to be from my wallet not my wine cabinet but this is a fun little way to shower your girl gang with gifts.

I have a video below showing how to make these fun little bath balls and an extra touch int here to make it a tad bit more meaningful. This is my first ever DIY video and its a good thing my forehead doesn’t play a significant role in this because it’s been cut off (Video 101: Turn your phone horizontal if you want to make a video.). I also wish I would’ve downed a bottle of wine in the making of this minute and a half video. Maybe next time folks.

Alright, enough of the chattiness let’s get down to business.

Okay so now that you’ve seen me make one of these bad boys, so as a recap, here is what you’ll need.

Shopping List:

  • Scentsy Shimmer Soak $12 ( link to my Scentsy lady is below)
  • Jars $2-4
  • Ribbon $1

Here is my Scentsy lady if you don’t have one Cherie De Wilde. She hosts online Scentsy Parties all the time. Please order from an independent consultant instead of just goinng to the Scentsy website.  They work hard for their sales.

After you assemble your jars, you’ve got yourself a great little token of girl gang gratitude. I hope they like and I hope you keep one for yourself. Keep up the boss babe attitude girls! Happy Galentine’s Day!
