Move over Daenerys Targaryen, there is a new dragon in town, and it’s PINK! With all this Game of Thrones talk, it is only appropriate Starbucks lined up the release of their new Dragon Drink with the cinematic Game of Thrones series.

I’m sure you have seen Starbuck’s brand new infamous Pink Dragon Drink floating around social media.  If you like Instagrammable drinks (and, honestly, we ALL do) this is the drink for your taste buds and Snap-story. You can’t miss it. It’s freakin’ hot, HAWT pink.

This is a sweet pink drink I’ll probably enjoy all summer long. Its only 130 calories for a grande with a total of 3 ingredients.

The Starbucks pink Dragon Drink ingredients are Ice, Mango Dragonfruit refreshers, and coconut milk. Could you ask for a more perfect summer taste sesh?!

The official Dragon Drink description is “a tropical-inspired pick-me-up crafted with a refreshing combination of sweet mango and dragon fruit flavors, hand-shaken with creamy coconut milk, ice and a scoop of real diced dragon fruit.”

My description: An adult melted slushee with coconut milk and caffeine.

It has equal parts sweet and tangy but there is a creamy base to it with the coconut milk. Texturewise it’s very comparable to a watered down smoothie but with attitude. The frothy top and berry particles will stay afloat for the duration of your drink. The flavors are extremely strong but not overwhelmingly concentrated.

I am not a berry drinking, fruit savoring drink order-er. No. I stick to the basics when it comes to my coffee runs. And when I say coffee, I actually mean tea. I stray from sweet drinks because typically that means unwanted sugars and calories in my body, but this dragon fruit drink is a total game changer.

Being only 130 calories I don’t feel nearly as guilty as I do when I order a frappuccino.

The original Starbucks Pink Drink was founded in 2016 and the new Dragon Drink is an excellent part 2 of the pink drinks.

The best part? It’s a permanent item on the menu now. You can order this come the turn of the new season, because, let’s face it, our Instagram can always use a little pop of pink on the feed.
