It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and if your girlfriend is anything like Buddy the Elf she already has this season planned out.
The month of December can truly get hectic but Christmas is one of the most romantic times of the year. Celebrate with your longtime girlfriend or new love interest with these fun dates she is already planning on doing anyway.
1. Baking Cookies
Find some simple recipes or hit up the cookie dough aisle at your local grocers, pop off some frosting and let’s get BAKED! Get some kick-ass cookie cutters for fun shapes too! Even better if you up the stakes and make it a contest; either on decorations or who can eat the most.
2. Volunteering
You will be spreading some Christmas cheer by giving back this season, together! Lots of local charities are in need of volunteers to put on Christmas Towns or care packages for families in need. Pick a spot where you both think you can make an impact. Have some cookies left over? If you’re going to make the world a better place you might as well do it with cookies.
3. Netflixing and Chillin’ (literally)
Baby, it’s cold outside so why not line up the Christmas classics? 12 Dates of Christmas and Netflix’s new Christmas Prince are a real Christmas doozy. Dress code: Holiday PJs.
4. Light Hunting
Now before you get your tinsel in a tangle know this date has a higher success rate than most. It is no cost unless you want hot chocolate for the drive and it is such a festive past time. Make a scavenger hunt list of all the types of light figurines you want to see (i.e. blow up reindeer, Santa’s sleigh, etc) n you have to keep looking until you find them all!
5. Christmas Shopping
You both have to do it, so you might as well do it together. Help each other pick out gifts for their friends and family. Don’t forget to pick out something nice for yourselves too. 😉
6. Ice Skating
Ice rinks are unavoidable during the holiday season. They’re at malls, hotels, and even grocery store parking lots. It’s inevitable; Newtons law will push you there if necessary. Be sure to get some klutzy videos of you two.
7. Wrap yourselves up in ribbon
Okay, this might not be on every girlfriend’s list of dates, but I think that is a substantial $5 investment in practicing your bow tying skills. Come on; you need to practice on something before you seal the deal with wrapping the actual gift. Am I right?!
8. Build a Snowman
If you’re anywhere besides Las Vegas, you have a fighting chance at actually doing this. Build one for those who can’t make a snowman this global warming holiday season.
9. Play a Board Game and Drink Spiked Cider
Bust out the SEQUENCE because it is holiday game night. Invite a few friends over for a mini soiree. Make sure everyone wears their holiday sweaters of course. Otherwise, it doesn’t count.
There are only 25 days of Christmas and almost half your days are full already, so you better get to stepping. Crank up that holiday music, and let’s get FESTIVE!
“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.“-Buddy the Elf

I think an ugly sweater game night would be a fun thing to host. Holiday parties can get to glam for me!

Haha … loving the gifs. I think I am all about Netflix & Sleep on winter evenings.
