Where are my planner people at? Some people like the chaos of not knowing how the day is going to unfold, but I am not those people. I get it though. The thought of having everything planned out can be quite boring. The majority of people like to have everything in order. The stress and anxiety of uncertainty just make things harder for most of us.
If you want to become more confident then you need to start implementing some structure. Life throws a lot of stuff at you, so getting into a structured routine would make a lot of sense. Here are just a few things you can do to ensure that you’re getting yourself into a lot more of a solid, organized lifestyle:
Plan Out Your Day
If you have a solid idea of what you wish to achieve, then it makes the entire day so much easier. We can doubt ourselves a lot when we have thoughts exclusively in our minds. Write out what you intend on doing. This is a sure-fire way of getting you out of bed in the morning and staying productive. They stop becoming ideas and suddenly become real objectives. Bullet journaling is also a popular pastime as well as a way of keeping orderly.
My recommendation is to get yourself a passion planner. They are the perfect planner for those that want to be planner people. Additionally, get yourself some colored pens and highlighters. I like the Crayola Take Note Highlighters and Dual Tip Pens. Color coding your week’s activities based on work functions, recreational activities, etc can help you see where you spend most of your time.
Focus On Your Home A Little More
When things are going well at home and in your personal life, everything else becomes a little smoother. Small things like tidying or nagging can really make an impact on your mood. If you have problems at home, then they’ll come into your mind every five minutes and distract you from your tasks. Implement a “clean as you go” policy. This goes for decluttering your physical mess and maybe even any emotional disturbances too. Nip something in the bud before it escalates, causing more stress.
Consider Meal Preparations
What you eat matters a lot but cooking can be draining. You need energy in order to get things done and to be happy about how your day is going. When you don’t know what to eat you might dabble with junk food a little more often. I know I am guilty of that. You might also waste a lot of time thinking about what to have/making the meals. Perhaps meal prep on a Sunday night or meal prep companies like umami foods could help you out. If you have a genuinely systematic way of taking in food, then your day will speed up hugely.
Surround Yourself With Organized, Together People
You are the average of the people you spend most of your time around. If you hang around with people who live life in a messy way, then you’re probably going to pick up plenty of the same mannerisms. Let go of the toxic people in your life. Do an inventory check. What types of personalities do you have too much of? Too little? What are you missing? Find successful people and hang around with them. Their drive will help balance your drive.
